Structural Engineer

Job Description
As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Performing structural analysis of various building systems comprised of structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and wood for both gravity and lateral loads.
Coordinating structural design details with architectural and MEP designs.
Review shop drawings, RFI’s, and performing site visits during the construction phase.
Working directly with clients to ensure client satisfaction throughout the project duration.
Developing new work opportunities through existing client relationships.
QUALIFICATIONS: Ideal candidates must have the following qualifications:
Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with a structural emphasis.
California Professional engineering registration (P.E. license).
3 to 8 years of experience in structural design and detailing.
Proficient in computer-aided design (CAD), Auto CAD 2D is a must, 3D preferred.
Must have the ability to organize and handle multiple project assignments.
Ability to develop key client relationships is required.
Desire to work in a small office atmosphere and contribute to the growth of the office.

Civil Engineer

Job Description
As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for the following duties which must be reported to the supervisor of the project.
Analyzing reports, calculations drawings and blueprints to plan and design projects for structural requirements.
Prepare/modify reports and specifications to ensure conformance to engineering plans and construction.
Preparing stress analysis in order to design structure to meet estimated load requirements by computing size, shape and type of structure.
Performing seismic and wind analysis for every element of structure designed.
Inspecting projects under construction and recommend repair and/or replacement of defective areas.
Applying building codes to the plans/designs.
Use computer and design software to prepare engineering and design documents.
QUALIFICATIONS: Ideal candidates must have the following qualifications:
Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Possess one year of experience.
Must be familiar with the metric system.
Proficient in computer and design software used for engineering and design documents.
Must have the ability to organize and handle multiple project assignments.
Desire to work in a small office atmosphere and contribute to the growth of the office.
